Moray Estates Development Company Ltd was created in 1924 to facilitate the development of the historic estates of the Moray family. The company is still owned and managed by the Earl of Moray and his family.
The company's estates can be found in the Inner Moray firth between Inverness and Elgin and in southwest Perthshire near Stirling. The company manages a wide range of properties from castles to cottages, farms to forests, commercial properties to quarries. Most of these properties are found in attractive rural environments and are buildings of historic importance and the company employs considerable resources in protecting and enhancing the built and natural environment. This role is central to the company's management philosophy.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE FUTURE
It is the company's view that the best way to protect and enhance the estates it manages is to encourage economic activity in those properties. If properties have a sustainable commercial use then they are more likely to be well maintained and of benefit to the local community particularly in providing local employment.
This was at the heart of the reason for creating Moray Estates Development Company in 1924 and remains just as relevant today.
